CROSS PROMOTION
There is one
strategy or technique that clearly works better than just about
any other and that is Cross Promotion or Joint Venture
marketing.
But you probably
already knew that!
With cross
promotion you are passing a good deal of your marketing efforts
over to another person, group or organisation.
They do the
selling on your behalf and of course reap a hefty reward for doing
so - but you win as well.
Let's look
at it this way. You have a product that retails at $100. Working
alone and at full steam (with or without previous marketing experience)
you might make a few or a lot of sales (or even none at all). Let's
imagine (and just for illustrational purposes) you make 10 sales
a week. That's $1000 in your pocket. Not bad, eh? But remember,
you had to work full time (10-16 hours a day) to achieve that $1000.
Now let's look
at what you might achieve through a good cross promotion campaign.
Something like this:
You (or someone
acting on your behalf) contact business people who know how to sell
products like yours. You offer them 75% commission on every sale
they make.
Now, instead
of YOU working 10-16 hour days to make 10 sales a week, they can
make 25 sales. True, they earn the lion's share of the income, but
you did very little work. And that is from just ONE cross promotion
or joint venture.
How about if
you had 5, 10 or 100 similar professionals all working to help sell
your product? What sort of income might you be able to make then?
